BLADENBORO – Maycee Kinlaw pitched a 2-hitter with 8 strikeouts, and Bladenboro exploded for 21 runs in the 1st 2 innings to defeat Elizabethtown 21-2 Wednesday.

Diyari McKoy batted 2-for-2 and scored 2 runs to lead the Lady Bulldog hitters. Hadley Dove finished 2-for-3 at the plate with 2 runs scored. Allison Hickman tripled, drove in a run and scored 3 runs. Kinlaw belted an RBI single and scored 3 runs.

Karlee Gause doubled and scored twice. Cheyenne Reinhart, Lily Hester, and Giovanna Spaulding scored 2 runs each. Hailii Andrews, Chloe Walters and Ashley Rivon scored 1 run each.

Gause’s double, and singles by McKoy and Dove keyed the 10-run Bladenboro 1st inning. Hickman’s triple and singles by McKoy, Kinlaw and Dove highlighted the 11-run Lady Bulldog 2nd inning. Bladenboro also capitalized on 10 walks, 7 hit batters and 3 errors.

Alayah Powell belted a single, and Harmony Richardson walked in the Lady Cougar 2nd inning. Both of them scored runs. Nyasia Banks smacked a 1st inning single for Elizabethtown.

Coach Otis Evans’ Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-1 and will travel to Clarkton School of Discovery Tuesday. Elizabethtown, now 0-4, will host Tar Heel Monday.
