TABOR CITY – Brenna Hester belted 4 hits to lead Clarkton School of Discovery to a 19-3 Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball victory over Tabor City Monday.
Hester finished a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate. Starting pitcher Cabria Baldwin smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats for the winners. Teammate Jahniya Reed cracked a single and drew 3 walks in her 4 trips to the plate. Zy’Eria Ripley also smacked a hit for the Lady Blue Devils.
Baldwin pitched the 1st 2 innings for Clarkton, and Reed relieved and pitched the 3rd inning.
Coach Savanna Elkins’ Lady Blue Devils evened their record at 1-1 and will travel to Nakina Thursday.
