CLARKTON – Nakina capitalized on 17 walks, 3 hits and 2 errors to defeat Clarkton School of Discovery 21-7 Monday in Waccamaw Middle School Conference softball action.
The Mustangs scored 4 runs in the 1st inning then opened up a 15-3 lead with an 11-run 2nd inning.
Kynzlee Wood walked, Nadya Colon reached base on an error and Camryn Wood walked in the Lady Blue Devil 1st inning. All 3 of them came around to score.
Ellie Kinlaw reached base to start the Clarkton 2nd inning, and Kynslie Kinlaw walked. Both of them scored runs. Nevaeh Brown ripped a single to left in the CSD 3rd inning, and Tyliah Freeman walked. Brown and Freeman both scored in the inning.
Clarkton, now 0-6 overall, will host Emereau Bladen Tuesday.
