NEWBERRY, SC – West Bladen grad Morgan Sweeney cracked 2 hits and drove in 2 runs in Newberry’s double-header split with St. Augustine Saturday.
Sweeney smacked a single to centerfield to drive in a run in the third inning of Newberry’s 11-3 win over St. Augustine in Saturday’s opener.
St. Augustine won the second game 6-5. Sweeney ripped a single to centerfield in the fourth inning that drove in a Lady Wolf run then scored on Hailey Drawe’s single.
The Lady Wolves are now 13-6 on the season and will host Erskine in a double-header Tuesday that begins at 1 p.m.
