GOLDSBORO – East Wake Academy posted a 328 total to finish 12 strokes ahead of North Moore and take 1st place in the NCHSAA Class 1A MidEast Boys’ Golf Regional Monday at the Lane Tree Golf Club.
East Bladen finished in 10th place with a 406 total. The Eagles were led by freshman Henry Simmons’ 95 and senior Zac Metz’ 98. Other East Bladen golfers and their scores were: Connor Smith (103), Tony Todd (110) and Peyton Tatum (120).
Wake Prep’s Jace Barnes claimed medalist honors with a 74, and North Moore’s Brady Preslar placed 2nd with a 77.
