CHAPEL HILL – Seaforth’s Ty Willoughby and Griffin Ching shared medalist honors with matching 75s and led Seaforth to a 23-shot victory over 2nd place Franklin Academy in the NCHSAA Class 2A MidEast Boys’ Golf Regional Monday at The Preserve at Jordan Lake Golf Club.
West Bladen’s Knights finished 8th with a 400 total but trailed fellow Southeastern Athletic Conference foes Midway (352, 5th place) and Clinton (354, 6th place). The Knights did finish ahead of Waccamaw Conference rivals South Columbus (402, tied for 9th place) and Whiteville (412, 11th place).
The Knights were led by senior Daniel Gustafson (98) and freshman Seth Faircloth (99). Other Knight golfers and their scores were: junior Nolan Sessoms (100), senior Colin Britt (103) and senior Benjamin Davis (106).
