Bartlett Yancey 6, West Bladen 0
DUBLIN – Bartlett Yancey handed West Bladen their first loss of the season and eliminated the Lady Knights 6-0 in the second round of the NCHSAA Class 2A Dual Team Tennis Play-offs Tuesday.
The Lady Knights finish their season with a school best 17-1 record. “I thought we did a good job being able to hit with them,” said West Bladen Coach Jeff Atkinson. “The difference was they had better shot placement and did not make many errors at all. Bartlett Yancey is well coached and have a solid program.”
“I am very proud of all our girls and the season that they have had this year,” continued Atkinson. “I hate to see it end especially for our seniors Alanna (Ludlum) and Amber (Long). These girls have help put Bladen County Tennis on the map this year and have accomplished so much.”
