Bladen County Schools is preparing for NC PreK Screening for the 24-25 school year! Parents and guardians are encouraged to call their school to make an appointment for screening.
The screening schedule is as follows:
- April 29 & 30: Elizabethtown Primary, 910-862-3380
- May 1: Tar Heel School, 910-862-2475
- May 2: Dublin Primary, 910-862-2202
- May 3: Bladen Lakes Primary, 910-247-4608
- May 6 & 7: Bladenboro Primary, 910-863-3387
- May 8: East Arcadia, 910-247-4609
Children must be 4 years old on or before August 31, 2024, to be eligible for NC PreK. During the appointment, please bring the following documents:
- A copy of the certified birth certificate
- Completed health assessment and dental screening (To be completed a doctor)
- Updated immunization record
- Proof of residence (e.g., electric bill, water bill, driver’s license)
- Proof of income verification documents:
- Tax records: W-2s or 1040 Adjusted Gross line 7
- Pay stubs (from the most recent pay periods)
- Weekly: submit four consecutive pay stubs
- Bi-weekly: submit two consecutive pay stubs
- Monthly: submit at least one full month’s pay stub
Make sure you bring the child with you to the screening appointment so they may be assessed.
