There is a group of “old guys” who play together 3-4 times a week around 11-12 at Vineyard Golf at White Lake. They are led by “Captain” Stacy Owen. Stacy sends out the starting times for each day of the week they play. Those days are all week days with Wednesday being a day of rest. The ages, usually from 60s to middle 80s. No qualifications other than the fact that we all love golf … and giving each other a hard time and laughing at the terrible jokes that are told.
Due to the popularity that VGWL is now enjoying, securing a starting time is sometimes difficult. The Augustines (mom Patricia and son Billy, owners) really go over their heads to afford golfers in this area a great place to play at an affordable price.
If you feel that you are an older golfer, and can get along with other old onry guys, text Stacy at 910-723-9593 and ask him to put you on the notification list … and promise not to start any fist fights … some of our old guys have heart problems.
