Thoughts While Shaving

Thoughts While ShavingI believe the preservation of the United States of America is more important than protecting Democrats,  Republicans, Independents and anyone else, and if someone, some country is attempting to alter our course, it needs to be dealt with……plain and simple.

We all have our ideas, but I thought the comments of Sen. McCain yesterday were plain and on target.  Realize, that those on both sides of the aisle will debate the issues, there will always be differences, and that is OK, this is America, nothing wrong with expressing our views, but, at last count, there are 323.1 million of us in the USA, and compromise is important in our way of doing business.  The more ideas shared, hopefully the better the results.

Every now and then I recall a thought shared over the years, this one from a now deceased, long time Bladen County resident, great philosopher….’Forever is a long time’.  I have so many good memories of older folks I got to know over the years, from all over the county.

The local Summer Sounds Concert Series continues tomorrow (Thursday) at Cape Fear Farmers Market from 6pm – 8pm featuring Legacy Motown Review.  It’s FREE and all are invited.

Pray for the sick and for so many who struggle every day to make ‘ends’ meet, to stay cool and have the food and medicine they need.

The purpose of human life is to serve, and to show compassion and the will to help others.  Albert Schweitzer

Help others achieve their dreams and you will achieve yours.  Les Brown

Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. Sadly, many ask, “What’s in it for me?”
