Thoughts While ShavingHope your weekend has been good so far!

Great for this group of Hesters’.  Grandson (Brooks) and longtime lady friend (Katie Hinton) were married late Saturday near Raleigh.  Wish them well.  Beautiful wedding.  Mr. and Mrs. Brooks Hester of Raleigh, NC.

If we failed to answer or return your call, sorry…

Revival services begin at 7 PM today at Wesley’s Chapel UMC, Peanut Plant Road, Elizabethtown, with Rev. Tim Reaves, Pastor of Pine Valley UMC, Wilmington, leading the services through Wednesday evening.  Rev. Reaves was former pastor of Bladen County UMC Charge.  All are welcomed, special singing, nightly.  Rev. Darrell Copeland is Pastor.

So much road repair to be done following a couple of storms, but kind of frustrating.  I-40 at a standstill late yesterday near 40/42 intersection between Raleigh and Benson.  I know, repairs must be made.

Bladen County Commissioners meet Monday (tomorrow) at 6:30 PM for regular session.  Public is welcome.  Meeting to be held in Commissioner’s room in the Courthouse.

Would be nice for a weather break….like no bad weather for a few weeks.  Can’t imagine scheduling issues schools are dealing with.

Farmers continue to dodge all the issues as they continue to harvest crops, despite the weather.

No place like home, period.

Our yard looks like a jungle.  I promise to clean it up, like early this week.  I know…promises, promises.

It is better to offer no excuse than a bad one.  George Washington

If it’s achievable, there’s no excuse why you shouldn’t be doing it.  Scooter Braun

Excuse my scribbling, it is late, and I have a poor candle.  Henri Rousseau
