ELIZABETHTOWN – Elizabethtown native Larrell Murchison hosted his 3rd annual Community Fun Day Saturday and a large crowd showed up to fellowship with their hometown star who has used this event to give back to the community.
Murchison, a star defensive lineman at East Bladen and then at North Carolina State, started his pro football career with the Tennessee Titans but was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Rams last season. He then turned in the best game of his career recording 2 sacks in a Rams win over Denver.
Saturday’s free event was aimed at children of all ages and included football drills and other games under the supervision of Murchison, inflatable bounce houses, music and complementary food and drinks. Larrell worked the crowd, posing for innumerable pictures and signing autographs.
