BladenOnline.com AppThe planning for Bladen Online’s Community Forum to Unite is underway on Monday. The event is set to take place on Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the auditorium of Bladen Community College. The Community Forum to Unite is open to all citizens in Bladen County and light refreshments will be served. Everyone is invited to attend.

Representatives from local law enforcement, Bladen County elected officials, Bladen Community College, the Bladen County District Attorney’s office, Bladen Online team and community members and local pastors all came together Monday to discuss the issues for the Community Forum to Unite.

“We need to find better ways to communicate with each other,” said Bladen Online owner Charlotte Smith.  She added there are issues that need to be addressed in the community.

Bladen County Commissioner Arthur Bullock said he views the forum as an educational opportunity for everyone.

Bladen County Assistant District Attorney Quintin McGee said that the forum is a good way to dispel misinformation.

There was some lengthy discussion of what issues needed to be discussed during the forum and how best to present them. Topics to be discussed on Wednesday are what to do when you are stopped by law enforcement, statistics, types of education and training law enforcement receive, and more.

Everyone is invited to come out and attend.
