Sheriff James A. McVicker is asking for help from the community to locate a man wanted for breaking and entering churches in Bladen and Columbus counties.
“We have warrants for the arrest of Edward Jerome Leach, 20, of 1645 NC 211 Hwy West, Apartment E.,” McVicker said. “Leach is wanted for breaking and entering the First Missionary Baptist Church in Bladenboro last month. He is also the suspect in several other church break in’s in both Bladen and Columbus counties. He is known to hang around Clarkton and Whiteville.”
McVicker asks if anyone has information on the whereabouts of this man they contact the Sheriff’s office in Bladen or Columbus counties.
“Breaking into a church takes a different type of individual. This man needs to go to jail. I hope the public agrees and helps us locate him soon.”
