FAYETTEVILLE – Ready. Set. Go!
Registration for this year’s Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation Ribbon Walk & Run is off and running. Gill Security Systems is presenting sponsor for the third consecutive year.
Participants can pre-register online at www.bit.ly/rw-registration. The 12th annual event will be held Saturday, April 21 at Festival Park in downtown Fayetteville.
There will be a 5K run/walk course and a 1-mile route that follows along Linear Park, toward the Market House, and then onto Hay Street, before heading back to the finish line at Festival Park. Entertainment and fun for all ages will be provided in the park throughout the morning.
Each dollar raised supports Cape Fear Valley Cancer Treatment and CyberKnife Center. Proceeds directly benefit cancer center patients by providing gas vouchers, medication assistance, free mammograms for the uninsured, wig vouchers, art therapy, yoga, nutritional supplements, emergency funding for house payments for patients in need and other assistance programs.
Businesses are invited to become a corporate sponsor. Recognition levels range from $250 to $5,000. Community members are encouraged to register, build a team and set a fundraising goal.
