Wyatt Holland threw five touchdowns passes Friday as Midway topped Richlands 33-13 in a nonconference high school football game. Holland connected twice for scores with Jamir McCrae and once each with Casey Culbreth, Nate Smith and Kendrick Tyndall.

The game was a replacement for Midway’s scheduled Southeastern Conference game against St. Pauls that was postponed because of COVID-19 protocols. Midway is 4-1 overall, 1-0 in the SEC.

Clinton also found a nonconference opponent for its postponed game against Red Springs because of COVID-19 protocols.

Nate Carr scored a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns as unbeaten Thomasville Ledford spoiled the Dark Horses’ homecoming 35-18.

Blake Smith scored on a 2-yard run to put Clinton ahead 18-14 at the end of the third quarter, but Ledford’s Cameron Walker returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown.

It was Clinton’s first loss in four games. Ledford is 5-0.
