The N.C. Department of Transportation says about 20 roads are closed in Bladen County because of damage caused by rain from Hurricane Matthew over the weekend.

Most of the roads are closed because of flooding. Some roads are closed because of washouts or bridge damage.

Here is the list from NCDOT as of 9:30 a.m., Monday:

** N.C. 210 near U.S. 701, north of White Lake

** N.C. 242 near State Road 1508, north of Elizabethtown

** N.C. 41 near State Road 1514, near White Lake

** N.C. 53 near State Road 1318 in White Oak

** Twisted Hickory Road near N.C. 242 in both directions.

** Twisted Hickory Road near State Road 1141, north west of Clarkton

** Paul Brinson Road near N.C. 131, west of Dublin

** Pleasant Creek Church Road near N.C. 410, south of Dublin

** Ben Street Extension near N.C. 87 in Elizabethtown (near Elizabethtown Middle School).

** Cromartie Road near N.C. 87, west of Elizabethtown

** Forrest Drive near State Road 1178, southwest of Bladenboro

** Happy Valley Road near State Road 1150, south of Elizabethtown

** Owen Hill Road near N.C. 87, west of Elizabethtown

** Davis Road near N.C. 210, northwest of White Lake

** Sweet Home Church Road near State Road 1511, north of Elizabethtown

** Mercer Mill Brown Marsh Road near N.C. 87, in Elizabethown

** Old Rosindale Road near State Road 1777, south of Elizabethtown

** Elkton Road near State Road 1700, south of Elizabethtown.

** U.S. 701 near State Road 1514, north of White Lake

** U.S. 701 near N.C. 87 in Elizabethtown (Brown’s Creek bridge)
