CLARKTON – Sunday, October 29th will be Erin Wakefield Day at the Clarkton Dixie Youth Baseball Complex. Ms. Wakefield passed away Thursday.
“We will be doing a remembrance for Erin Wakefield from 3-5 p.m.” posted Clarkton DYB’s Graham Burney on Facebook. “Erin has been a board member for over 15 years and has had a major impact on so many kids’ lives. So please come out and bring your favorite food or drinks. We are going to pass a donation bucket to help the family.”
Ms. Wakefield was currently serving as an assistant coach for Clarkton School of Discovery volleyball and has helped with many other sports at the school. She served as the Lady Blue Devils’ softball coach last spring.
