FUQUAY-VARINA – Kevyn delacruz Labra poured in a ‘Hat Trick’ plus one of 4 goals, but it wasn’t enough as Nash County edged Bladen County 5-4 Friday night in the opening round of the StateWide Activities Committee 14U Boys Soccer State Tournament at Fleming Loop Park.
Bladen County will continue play in the round-robin tournament Saturday at 10:45 a.m. against Fuquay-Varina. At 4 p.m. Saturday the Bladen team will play Holly Springs in its final game in the round-robin portion of the tournament.
Both games will be on Field 7.
