At its June 8th regular meeting – rescheduled from the 1st – the Town of Tar Heel slated a special meeting to hold a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2021-2022 budget.

On the 22nd, with Councilmember Angie Hall arriving right after the nick of time, Mayor Sam Allen called the session to order at 6 pm. The Pledge to the Flag was given and Mayor Allen provided the invocation.

Councilmember Derek Druzak moved to open the public hearing on the budget, with Councilmember Mike Underwood seconding. There were no comments, and the public hearing was closed.

Councilmember Underwood made the motion to adopt the FY 2021-2022 budget, and Mr. Druzak seconded; the budget was approved unanimously.

With no further business to be conducted in this special session, the meeting adjourned at 6.03 pm.
