FOUR OAKS –JCAA East scored 5 runs in each of the 1st 3 innings and defeated Bladen County 15-7 Wednesday night in an elimination game in the Tar Heel Leagues District 5 10U Softball Tournament.
Khloe Campbell, Adison Overgaard, Jamison Raynor, Rylee White, Tiyana Singletary and Alaina Wilkins smacked singles in the Bladen 2nd inning, and Campbell, Overgaard, Raynor, White and Singletary scored runs to pull Bladen even at 5-5.
Kenley Brisson slammed a double, and Kenadie Pusey belted a single to start the Bladen 3rd inning. Jeniyah Whittington walloped a double, and Brisson and Pusey scored to pull Bladen to within 10-7.
Wilkins batted 2-for-2 to lead the Bladen hitters. India Storms hammered a triple, and Jeniyah Whittington and Brisson smashed doubles. Pusey, Campbell, Overgaard, Raynor, White and Singletary added 1 hit each. Pusey, Campbell, Overgaard, Raynor, White, Singletary and Brisson scored runs.
Racquel Whittington pitched the 1st 2 innings for Bladen County, and Raynor pitched the final 3 innings.
