CINCINNATI, OH – Former North Carolina star Giovani Bernard scored 2 touchdowns Sunday to lead the Cincinnati Bengals to a 31-20 National Football League victory over the Tennessee Titans.

Elizabethtown’s Larrell Murchison played in his sixth game of the season on the defensive line for the Titans.

It was the second consecutive loss of the season for the Titans, who trailed 24-7 and 31-14 in the final quarter.

Bernard darted 12 yards for a touchdown that padded the Bengal lead 17-7 32 seconds before halftime then snared a 6-yard touchdown pass from Joe Burrow with 3:50 left in the game that widened the gap to 31-14 and sealed the verdict. Bernard totaled 62 yards rushing and caught 3 passes for 16 yards.

Ryan Tannehill threw for 233 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Tennessee offense. Teammate Derrick Henry ran for 112 yards and another touchdown.

Tennessee, now 5-2, shares first place in the AFC South Division with Indianapolis and will host Chicago on Sunday for a 1 p.m. EST kickoff.
