The Mother County Genealogical Society will meet on June 10 at 12:30 in the Bladenboro Historical Society building, 818 South Main Street, Bladenboro, NC

Terry Smith will give a program titled “Where a Letter Leads.”

She will share information about how a post-Civil War letter home from a Bladen native turned Missouri pioneer wife and mother enabled the discovery of ancestral information and local history that would provide new insight into the social impact of the war for some Bladen families.

Many of our programs are as much about how to do research as the subject matter.

All with an interest in genealogy and History are welcome.

The museum rooms upstairs are always open from 2:00 to 4:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
