Four friends met on a golf course. All are from the Burlington area. They are Jim Holton, Randy Walker, Steve Teaguw and Perry Dixon. They have all been retired between 19 and 22 years.
They made this goal of playing golf in all 100 counties — (11 counties do not have a golf course). This is their Bucket List Project. They have played 89 counties with a golf courses. Bladen County makes the 56th county they have played this year.
Their statements after playing Vineyard Golf at White Lake were that this course for sure is in the top 5 of the best courses that they have played since setting this goal. Between Oct. 23 and Nov. 4, the four friends are playing courses in Bladen, Columbus, Pender and Robeson counties.
