Spread the love

By Haylie Robinson

May means more sunny weather, warming up, and getting ready for summer while everything is blooming and looking pretty. That means getting outside and enjoying the sunlight and outdoor noises and spending the sunny weather with family. Hence why most of the events for this month are outdoors.

This past weekend the third annual May Day Jamboree was held at Lu Mil Vineyard, 438 Suggs-Taylor Road, Elizabethtown. There was something for everyone at this event ranging from free fishing, craft, and food vendors to bouncy houses. The Pink Slips and other bands entertained the large crowd at this ever-growing event.

Also, on May 6th, the Bladen Gardeners Plant Sale started at 8 am and ended at 1 pm; it’s hosted at Cape Fear Farmers Market, 106 MLK Drive, Elizabethtown, NC. All proceeds go to a Scholarship fund. For more information, call Jacob Barber at 910-862-4591.
