1914 – US Open Men’s Golf, Midlothian Country Club: 21-year-old Walter Hagen holds off amateur Chick Evans by 1 stroke to win the first of his 2 Open titles; first of 11 major championships.

2017 – Johnson & Johnson ordered to pay $417 million to a woman who developed ovarian cancer after using their talc-based products.
