RALEIGH – The following are highlights from this week at the N.C. Department of Transportation. The stories below are also featured in NCDOT Now, the department’s weekly newscast.

License and Theft 100-Year Anniversary

2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles’ License and Theft Bureau.

During a celebration held at the division’s Rocky Mount headquarters, current and former members of the bureau, along with their friends and family, gathered to recognize the agency’s extensive history and accomplishments.

During the event, officials honored the six members of the bureau who died in the line of duty.

Third Annual Transportation Summit

On Jan. 19th and 20th, NCDOT and NC Go! are hosting the third annual N.C. Transportation Summit at the Raleigh Convention Center.

The two-day summit will explore cutting-edge technologies and ideas to help North Carolina prepare for the future of transportation. Between panels, attendees will also be able to explore an exhibitor trade show.
