Colder weather has arrived. You will need warmer clothing, compared to recent days, as you head out to church this AM. Low this morning in the low 30s and highs expected to be in the upper 50s, maybe 60 by 3 PM.

Bladenboro fireman celebrated the official opening of their new fire station yesterday, West Bladen High Schools sports reverse raffle was a success last night and the 55th annual meeting of Star Communication members drew a good crowd Saturday in Clinton, and there were more. Point is much is going on in the area and Bladen folks respond.

The Thanksgiving season is approaching, hunters are enjoying the great outdoors.

I think back to school, lower grades when we could hardly wait for a few days off ’round this time of year, did not realize then the teachers also needed some relief.

As we look around and give thanks for our blessings, we need to keep those in mind that are dealing with health issues. I have several friends dealing with cancer, bet you do to.

Lest I forget, thanks to all who have sent birthday greetings. I am so fortunate to enjoy good health and good friends.

You will not know where you are going if you are always looking back.

Success comes in cans, not in can’ts.

Obstacles are what you see, when you take your eyes off the goal.
