Thoughts While Shaving

Weather is big news, for the eastern USA, North Carolina and Bladen County.  We measured another inch and a half of rain yesterday, bringing our total at the Hester household to near 7 3/4 inches over the past 4 or 5 days.

If you have been praying for rain, think your prayer has been answered, at least in the Happy Valley Road area near E-town.  Rainfall amounts vary greatly, I am sure.

Now, Mathew, Hurricane Mathew.  As of early Saturday morning, “Mathew is a category 4 hurricane in the Caribbean, is expected to take a northward turn this weekend, which will bring the storm along the Atlantic coast of the US next week.  Possible tracks range from an initial landfall along the southern Atlantic coast to a storm remaining a few hundred miles offshore.”

The East Bladen vs Clinton high school football game was postponed yesterday due to the weather and has been re-scheduled for 6 p.m. today, at East Bladen.

Some good college football games today, Ryder Cup golf play, baseball and NASCAR.  Lot’s of reasons to hang close the TV.

Author Nicholas Sparks has produced some great books over the years.  Add another one to the list, the latest is SEE ME.

You can’t hide your true colors as you approach the autumn of your life.  Unknown
