When I think back to 2008, to the early days of BladenOnline, I continue to be amazed. Bladen County residents continue to depend on the news source for all their local news, sports, Ag news, obits, and so much more.

Another reminder about the Bladenboro Rotary Club Golf Tournament. The 19th Annual Tournament will be held at Land ‘O Lakes, Friday, May 12. Tee up time is 1 PM. Proceeds support the JW & Martha Black Scholarship Awards that benefit West Bladen High School seniors. $240 per team, limited to the first 24 teams. I remember Mr. Black as principal at Bladenboro School, home of the Bulldogs. Had a few visits to his office. We had some things to discuss, usually led to me picking up more trash during recess. Good man. Mr. and Mrs. Black were killed in an auto accident, many, many years ago. Think both would be pleased that they are remembered in such a neat way.
