Calendar indicated Spring began late yesterday (Wednesday).  Maybe the weatherman failed to check his calendar.  Today and for the balance of the week promises to be more spring like.  Windy and warmer today, high low to mid 60s.  Friday, mid 60s with sunshine.  More Spring like.

Rainfall was slightly over half an inch at the Curtis Brown Airport, Elizabethtown, NC.  Could use more to wash away the pollen.

The 41st White Lake Water Festival will be the 3rd weekend in May.  Sponsors are welcomed.  Contact Dawn Maynard at the Elizabethtown-White Lake Chamber of Commerce.  Sponsorships also available for concerts at Goldston’s Beach and Cape Fear Farmer’s Market throughout the ’19 summer season.

March Madness continues.  A reminder, 3 ACC teams are ceded #1…

Upsets are a part of the fun, unless it’s your favorite that’s upset.

Baseball is next on the sports agenda….How about the Mike Trout (LA Angels) contract….According to published reports, the 27 year old centerfielder has signed or is expected to sign a 12 year contract that will pay him about $430 million.  How about that sports fans?  Ever think about how much he will be making on an hourly basis?  Something over the minimum rate….
