Congressional leaders are apparently near a deal on another stimulus package. Senator Mitch McConnell, the Senate leader, reportedly told his Republicans caucus that in Georgia they were getting ‘hammered’ for their failure to deliver more pandemic aid to struggling Americans, especially direct payments. Two senate seats are being determined in Georgia, early voting is underway. Republicans need to win one of two to continue to control the US Senate. A Democratic sweep would give Democrats control of the US Senate, US House and the Presidency. D.C. party leaders could announce agreement any time … even as early as today.

I enjoyed Christmas music at Wesley’s Chapel last evening … The adult choir, the youth and more … a repeat is set for Sunday evening. All are invited…

Cloudy and cool is the forecast for today. High near 49, northwest wind 3 to 6 mph. Cloudy tonight with a low around 33. Friday, sunny with a high near 49 … Winter officially arrives Monday, December 21.
