thoughts while shavingI had a check-up with the doctor yesterday … And, by the time I arrived home, begin getting questions about this and that, related to health … No, No and heck no … I am a fortunate individual … mid-80s, still doing what I have done for years, still feel pretty good, kinda know where my limits are, and blessed … No serious issues, other than getting older … Doc and I had a good conversation, and I left, despite usual ailments, feeling pretty good … Still able to rise early in the morning … ‘piddle’ inside and out, weather permitting, do normal chores, all within reason … I prefer to deal with what I can do rather than linger on about what I cannot do…

Mostly sunny today with a high near 55. Increasing clouds tonight, low around 33. Friday, partly sunny with a high near 54 … A sneak peak at Christmas Day … Showers likely, mainly after 4 p.m. … High temp near 57 and a 60% chance of rain…

Travel increases over the coming hours and days … Remember, there are others around that may get a little careless … Travel with care…

So … How about 2023? Pretty good year? Still have your New Year’s resolutions from last year? Don’t know about you, but I like to look back and compare…

Guess I enjoy thinking back to days as a youngster … Mom and dad working hard, strugglin’, but still providing bare minimums, it was fun … Remember Kits and Mary Jane (a candy for those who do not know), penny candy … a piece or two of clothing … mostly homemade … and chicken and pastry or rice … maybe both…

We knew we were loved … mom made sure of that … Music for the season…
