Thoughts While Shaving for July 10

A beautiful July weekend is what we dream of in January and February … and here we are … After a few days in the low to high 90s we are dreaming of the cooler days … We are just human beings…

Weather for the next couple of days looking pretty good. Mostly sunny today, high near 92, south wind 3 to 5 mph and a 20% chance of rain…

Saturday … A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 101 and a 40% chance of rain … Sunday, ’bout the same forecast and Monday, the chance of rain increases to 50%.

Typical July forecast … enjoy.

As I have stated in the past, enjoy checking newspapers statewide … with many owned by the same company, see some of the same articles, statewide … Yesterday, such an article was an iguana discovered in the Asheboro area … same picture, same article in numerous papers … Nothing wrong with it … frankly, I enjoyed the article, but keep thinking about the number of folks in that profession, out of work because the ‘chains’ are printing and re-printing, cutting staff, less local coverage … Wonder how long newspapers will continue as we remember from days gone by…

And we do need them…

I enjoy listening to and reading about Bishop T.D. Jakes … He is a preacher, a teacher, an author … you name it, if it’s something good, positive, can usually locate a quote … and I am sharing … for more, Google T.D. Jakes.

“A setback is a setup for a comeback”

“Each day is God’s gift to you…”

“If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion.”

“Never make a permanent decision about a temporary situation.”

“It’s not over, until the Lord says its over.”
