Thoughts While ShavingBig changes coming in our weather picture.  This should be a warm, wonderful week with lots of sunshine and temps reaching the low 80s by Friday.

Lest we forget, the average ‘last frost’ of the year for Bladen County is the first few days of April.  Blueberry farmers are keenly aware and will no doubt keep their eyes on the weather between now and then.

Bladen County commissioners meet this evening.  Budget workshops for county government and towns in the area move to the top of the agenda over the next few weeks.

Early voting continues this week at several locations in Bladen County.  The primary election is slated for Tuesday, March 15.

As a member of the class of ’56, I am aware that the number of survivors is dwindling.

I had a busy weekend….a couple of funerals, a visit with my former walking “buddy” (Janice Johnson) in Burgaw, a visit by both sons, one a little ‘under the weather’, hopefully nothing too serious…and spent some time at worship services.

Looking forward to a good week. The elections are important, but time with family and friends is as well.

Hope the stock market continues to rebound.  Good for everyone, especially retirees, who depend on 401K plans for income.

Have never and do not expect to participate in a ‘winter plunge’.  Not on my ‘bucket list’.

Whenever I have a headache, I take two aspirins and keep away from children, like the bottle says.
