Railroad crossings improvements are scheduled for repairs in Bladen and surrounding counties next week. Southern Commercial Development says CSX plans to close several railroad crossings in the county November 13th thru 16th. Some crossings will receive new rail, other ties, some both.
Toured south and southwest Bladen this weekend … Butters area … Brought back some good memories … Nance Barbeque … Sunday afternoons ‘camped out’ watching the Washington Redskins on TV. Butters Lumber Company was a big business in the area … many, many years ago … before my time.
