In the US House race for Speaker, Rep. Jim Jordan failed in his first effort as US House leader… by a small margin… He was opposed by 20 of his Republican members… His supporters were hoping for no more than a single digit… Next step… There could be a second vote today… His party opposition could grow if he does not secure enough votes soon. The US House has been without a leader for a couple of weeks after Rep. Kevin McCarthy was ousted.
