He has served numerous other locations and was in private business as a consultant for a few years… He is the new Onslow County Interim Manager. (Jacksonville, NC)
US Congressman Kevin McCarthy was ousted as House Speaker yesterday in Washington, D.C. Still a Congressman, but no longer the House Speaker, ouster led by his party cohorts… NC Congressman Patrick Mchenry is the acting speaker. One of his first actions was to order former house leader, Nancy Pelosi, to vacate her Capitol hideaway office and do so by today. Supposedly, a small number of senior leaders have hideaway offices inside the Capitol Building… Pelosi objected, but is out of town for the funeral of California Senator Feinstein.To be continued… In the meantime, former speaker McCarthy is hopeful he will reclaim his leadership position… not sure when or how…

Fiber is in many areas of Bladen County, but not all, but it is on the way, and no doubt it will take a few months. Projections indicate it should be ‘in the ground’ by late 2025. May take a little longer in less populated areas… Star TMC, serving Sampson and most of rural Bladen has buried nearly $60 million worth of fiber… expect to need about $20m more. It has been approved, but approval does not mean it is in the ground… It takes time and some of us are not good at waiting… We need the fiber, and all that goes with it to serve the area… Commercial companies also serve Bladen, but little in rural areas.
