Bladenboro volunteers were busy yesterday, sponsoring another fundraiser for a couple of their own. Over $15,000 was raised. Will be shared equally. … No community I am aware of does a better job of supporting those with a need.

And how about skippers in the ‘smoke house’?
Remember when you could depend on a fox chase or a coon hunt once or twice a week, or more?
And how ’bout milking a cow and getting ‘slapped up across your head’ by the cow’s tail with what must have been hundreds of cockle burrs?.
Those were the ‘good ole days’. …
Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere, and sometimes, in the middle of nowhere you find yourself.
And into the field I go to lose my mind and find my soul.
