Bladen County EDC was treated very well in the most recent budget approved by the North Carolina Legislature … thanks to our local Representative and Senator … with support from others in the area … Charlotte Smith captured the details in an article on BladenOnline recently … Chuck Heustess, Bladen County EDC Director, deserves much credit … His time highlighting the needs, as well as others, paid off … Bladen County needs every dime appropriated by the Legislature … some may disagree … and that is OK.
Members of Congress are obviously deeply divided over what should and should not be in the US budget, due this week … Failing to appropriate $s for a short term shutdown leaves much to be desired … If no pay for federal workers, including the military, should members of Congress be paid?
