2. Roger’s Wish is accepting donations of blankets and sleeping bags at the Bladen County Library, Bladen Journal and Elizabethtown ABC store through the end of October. Items will be distributed to the homeless and needy on Nov. 6. (READ MORE)
3. North Carolina is the lone Big Four football team playing at home Saturday. The eighth-ranked Tar Heels host No. 12 Virginia Tech at noon. The game will be televised by ABC. N.C. State plays at Virginia at noon and Duke plays at Syracuse at 12:30 p.m. Wake Forest does not play Saturday.
