Trinity United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown held a fundraiser Thursday, Nov. 12,
to raise funds for repairs to Old Trinity and its affiliated cemetery. The building known affectionately as “Old Trinity” was the original site of the church. The event garnered about $2,141 for the care of the church and cemetery.
The building is located on East Broad Street beside Four County Electric. Special community services such as those for Lent and Advent are still conducted there. There are 603 graves that also make up the cemetery and are requiring maintenance and upkeep.
Folks can still make contributions to “Old Trinity” Methodist Church. Make checks payable to Trinity United Methodist Church and indicate it is for “Cemetery Fund.”
