North Carolina Highway Patrol, Trooper Smith, confirmed there was an accident involving a Bladen County School bus this afternoon on NC Highway 41 between Twisted Hickory Road and Pleasant Grove Church Road near Dublin.
The collision involved the bus and a Ford truck. According to Trooper Smith’s report the bus was stopped, letting students off and was rear-ended by the driver of the truck.
The driver of the truck was not identified, but did receive a traffic violation
The bus was full, according to Trooper Smith, but only two students went to the hospital for a check-up due to minor injuries. There were no other injuries reported.
The students appeared to be primary school age, but their names and the name of their school was not released. While at the scene of the accident another school bus arrived, collected the remaining children to transport them safely home, Trooper Smith stated.
