BLADENBORO- With his father, coaches and West Bladen administrators in attendance, Knight senior Tydrick Stewart signed Friday to play football next season at Methodist University.

Stewart rushed for 441 yards and 5 touchdowns this past season and caught 25 passes for 239 yards and 1 touchdown. The senior scatback also racked up 467 return yards and returned 2 kickoffs for touchdowns. Stewart finished the season with 1,155 total yards and scored 8 touchdowns.

Knight Coach Stanley Williams shared that the Monarchs are looking to use Stewart as a defensive back and return specialist. Defensively, Stewart finished his senior year with 27 tackles – 26 solo – and a pair of pass interceptions.

Last season Methodist posted a 5-5 overall record and was 4-3 in the USA South Athletic Conference.
