With quite a bit of regret Amy Bailey of Vineyard Golf at White Lake had to cancel the Masters Tournament that was scheduled for Saturday, April 22.
Twenty-one teams gathered in the clubhouse for around two hours waiting for the rain to stop. When it stopped all teams were sent to their starting holes in this shotgun start. After eight holes were played the bottom dropped out as over four inches of rain fell on the course … and all the teams hurried to the clubhouse to enjoy the chicken meal that was waiting for them.
Bailey announced that all players would be awarded 27 holes of play at Vineyard Golf to compensate for the rainout.
