Due to rain, last week’s Thundering Herd at Vineyard Golf was cancelled. This week 26 players came to anxiously tee it up at 6 p.m. for the regularly scheduled nine hole tournament held every Thursday.
At the end of play the team of Pam Davis, Blake Davis, Derek Davis and Will Walter Sr. won on a scorecard playoff. Taking second place was Courtney Brisson, Dale Johnson, Cole Hilbourn, Jessica Wood and Jimmy Schultz. Both teams shot six-under par.
Anyone interested in playing in the weekly Thursday event is asked to call the pro shop at 910-247-6132. The cost to play is $20 per person.
