FAIRMONT – Fairmont won a trio of very close sets and defeated East Bladen 3-0 Thursday night in Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball action.
The Lady Tornadoes pulled out a 25-23 victory in the opening set then outlasted the Lady Eagles 27-25 in the 2nd set. Fairmont closed out the match with a 25-21 victory in the 3rd set.
East Bladen is now 1-1 in SAC action and 3-5 overall. The Lady Eagles will host Whiteville Monday in a non-conference match.
