TABOR CITY — South Columbus defeated West Bladen 3-0 Monday night by set scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-12 in the non-conference volleyball opener for both teams.

Senior Kiera Lewis slammed in 5 kills, 5 blocks, a service point and had 14 attacks to lead the Lady Knights. Sophomore Emmee Bryant fired in 5 service points and came up with 3 digs and 2 attacks. Senior Trinity Meares pounded in 4 kills, a block and had 9 attacks and a dig.

Sophomore Natalee Sykes knocked in 3 service points, a kill and had 4 assists and 3 attacks. Freshman Greer Pope dished out 3 assists and added 2 service points, a block and 5 attacks. Senior Jenna McLean racked up 11 attacks, 2 kills, a service point and a dig.

Junior Alina Chavez hammered in 2 kills, a block and had 5 attacks. Senior Maddie Walters finished with 5 attacks and a kill. Junior Marlene Crabtree had 3 attacks. Juniors Marlie Walters and Holland Davis tallied 1 service point each. Marlie Walters and sophomore Jaylyn Clark had 1 attack each.

The Lady Knights will host West Columbus Tuesday night.
