RED SPRINGS – West Bladen dropped the first set then rallied for a 3-1 victory over Red Springs on Tuesday night in the Three Rivers Conference volleyball opener for the Lady Knights by set scores of 24-26, 25-11, 25-20 and 25-21.

Junior Sidnee Walters hammered in 12 aces, 5 kills, 3 service points and dished out 12 assists for the winners. Senior Jordan Benson keyed the defense with 30 digs. Senior Lexi Corrothers pounded in 10 kills, 4 aces and 8 service points.

Senior Mikayla Meadows filled up the stat sheet with 9 kills, 4 aces, 4 service points, 2 digs, a solo block and an assist for West Bladen. Junior Shelby Pharr drilled in 6 aces, 9 service points and 2 kills.

Junior Ashlyn Cox knocked in 5 aces, 2 kills, 4 service points and added 4 assists and 2 digs for the Lady Knights. Junior Amelia Brisson fired in 4 aces, 2 kills, a service point and had 2 digs. Senior Erica Storms slammed in 2 kills.

Coach Gaye Davis’ Lady Knights remained unbeaten at 3-0 and will travel to East Columbus on Thursday.
