West Bladen’s Conner Brisson, Carley Dawson, and Abby Dawson are members of the Lumberton Dixie Softball All-stars who began District play Friday night in Moore County with a 20-1, five-inning victory over Hoke County.
All 3 of the West Bladen girls were members of the Lumberton All-Stars last year who went all the way to the World Series in Louisiana before losing in the championship game.
With the victory over Hoke County, Lumberton advances to an 11 a.m. game Saturday against Hope Mills.
